Pocoyo
With so many friends having a pre-school kid or baby, I suggest you have a look at the cutest series for kid ever made. I am speaking of Pocoyo
The graphics are very nice at first sight:

The characters are Pocoyo, a three years old kid, dressed in blue, Elly, a very good dancing elephant, Pato, a serious duck with a hat, Loula, Pocoyo’s dog, Sleepy Bird, a funny bird that sleeps a lot, and many others.
The episodes, all short, are always a simple story of everyday life (help friends who are sad, respect the work of others, organise a spectacle, share with friends, …) on a white background, giving full attention to characters and history. Music is nice, funny, and goes along well with the style. And try not to smile when looking at it…
The series is Spanish, but made in England for CiTV. Stephen Fry (Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, Black Adder, Oscar Wilde, …) is the narrator, with a perfect diction and an extraordinary humour.
